This policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect personal information when providing the Stepwise website, team workspace, client portal and related services. With self-hosting, the data is controlled by the deploying organization, and the parts of this policy about our processing do not apply.

1. Information we collect

• Account information: name, email, company name, position, and a phone number if you choose to add one.
• Business data: projects, requirements, bugs, tasks, comments and attachments that you, your team and your clients create or upload.
• Usage and device information: sign-in times, IP address, browser type and activity logs, used for security and troubleshooting.
• Website form: the name, company, contact details, team size and message you submit when booking a demo.
• WeCom sign-in: your WeCom user identifier, obtained with your authorization and used only for QR sign-in.

2. How we use information

We do not sell your personal information.

• to provide, maintain and improve the service;
• for authentication and security, such as locking accounts after failed sign-ins and investigating unusual access;
• to send service-related notifications;
• to answer your questions and arrange product demos;
• to improve the product based on aggregated, de-identified data.

The product stores your sign-in state and interface preferences (such as language) in your browser. If website analytics are enabled, the analytics service may use cookies, which you can refuse or clear in your browser settings.

Stepwise serves businesses and organizations and is not directed at children under 14.
