Terms of Service

These Terms of Service are an agreement between you (or the organization you represent, the "User") and Digital Horizon Technologies (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd ("DHT Labs", "we" or "us") for the use of the Stepwise products and services, including the team workspace, the client portal, this website and related services. By signing up for, signing in to or using Stepwise, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms.

1. Accounts

• Provide true and accurate information when you sign up, and keep it up to date.
• Keep your account and password safe. You are responsible for activity under your account; if you notice anything unusual, change your password and let us know.
• Company admins are responsible for creating, disabling and setting permissions for their members and client portal accounts.

2. Services and plans

• We provide the features and usage of the plan you choose; plan features and limits are as shown in the product.
• Prices, payment and activation of paid plans are as set out in an order or contract confirmed by both parties.
• We keep improving the service and features may change; we will give advance notice of changes that materially affect your rights.

3. Your data

The data you create or upload in Stepwise (projects, requirements, bugs, tasks, comments, attachments and so on) belongs to you or the organization you represent. We process it only to provide, maintain and improve the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

If you choose self-hosting, the data is stored on your own servers and managed and backed up by you.

4. Acceptable use

When using Stepwise, you must not:

• break the law, or upload or share unlawful or infringing content;
• access other people's accounts or data without authorization, or try to bypass access controls;
• interfere with or disrupt the service, including attacks, bulk sign-ups or abusive resource use;
• reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble Stepwise except where the law allows it.

5. Changes, interruptions and termination

• The service may be briefly interrupted for maintenance, upgrades or force majeure; we will try to notify you in advance and keep the impact short.
• If you breach these Terms, we may restrict or stop providing the service to you.
• You may stop using Stepwise at any time and contact us to close your account.

6. Intellectual property

The Stepwise software, interface design and marks are our intellectual property. They may not be copied, modified, rented or sold without our written permission.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses caused by force majeure, third parties or the User; our total liability to the User is limited to the service fees the User actually paid us in the 12 months before the loss occurred.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms for business or legal reasons and will publish the updated version on this website. Continuing to use Stepwise after the changes take effect means you accept them.

9. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China (excluding the laws of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan). Disputes shall first be resolved through friendly negotiation; failing that, they shall be submitted to the competent people's court where we are located.
